Bluetooth? What's Bluetooth?

I don't think Saab/GM acknowledges Bluetooth exists. Okay, that's an exaggeration but GM just prefers the prospect of you using OnStar instead so they don't offer Bluetooth on very many of their cars. Unfortunately, Saab is not one of the lucky cars to get Bluetooth; OnStar is optional. However, if you have Verizon and the optional OnStar, you can add a number to your car if you have the family/shared plan. Once you add a line to your car, you have full functionality of the built-in phone. You can always add a Bluetooth kit (Parrot, Motorola, etc.) as a last resort.
I have to add this is about the only gripe I have with Saab/GM and when I'm in the market for a car to replace my current Saab, if it's not offered, I might have to move on. It's a foolish, shortsighted strategy to only offer OnStar. Maybe I'm too fickle, but if you can't keep up with the market, you're going to lose customers. At the very least, Bluetooth should be offered as a stand-alone option or paired with the optional nav system. Admittedly, I could deal with adding a line to my Verizon account but it seems so eighties (if you'll allow me to use that term!).
