Sirius installation woes

I just bought a Sirius radio for my 03 9-3 at Circuit City. There installer, a twenty-something kid, took a look at it and realized he was in over his head. At least he didn't screw it up or anything. He recommended I go to a high end car audio shop or the dealer to get it installed. I went to my local mobile electronics shop who I've done some business with in the past (not with the Saab). First off, they're an XM shop, not Sirius. So I was expecting some BS and I got it. They told me that since the FCC changed the regs back in Nov for the FM broadcast of sat radios, they haven't seen or heard of ANYONE who got a Sirius unit to work via the FM transmitter. They said they could hard wire the unit, but quoted me a price of around $350 for the job. BTW, Circuit City would've charged $110. I expected to pay a little more for the install considering the Saab has such a unique setup, but $350 sounds like an awful lot. Plus the whole FM thing sounds like a load.
Does anyone have any recommendations for an installer in the Fairfield County area of CT? Also has anyone bought a Sirius unit recently and uses the FM transmitter?
