Hi EGD

Yes I had thought about, my back really is the major factor in deciding what car I drive (prolapsed L2 disc!), I drive around 40000 miles a year! I kept my last 93 for 5 years because I really couldnt find another car with a good seat and a good driving position and I really did look at everything else, BMW, Audi, Jaguar etc. The nearest I got was A6 Audi but I would then have had to spend $1500 on the recaro seat.

The problem now is that the seat is a mojor part of the safety "system", on the old 93 it incorporates an airbag and its the same on many newer cars, it would have needed some major work to fit one in my new 93SS, including modifying the seatbelt support to allow it go higher (the slider does not go as high as the old 93)

So in summary I just didnt see why I should pay out even more money to get the car right and still be left with a car I didnt want.

Hmm this is a bit of a story!!
