X,
If you were my service customer and your vehicle was at least 2 years old at that mileage, I would do the service anyway under the maintenance agreement. I know that the service indicator works on an algorithm, but ten thousand miles is alot of miles to NOT change the oil. Besides that, I don't feel the computations are correctly set at the factory. The interval for oil changes should be AT LEAST 12 months or ten thousand miles, you will notice that on the 2007 models, the SID has been replaced with a new set up, now you can't even read the oil life, so I think the factory has realized that there were errors in the programming of the algorithm within the '03-'06 9-3's. We had several new 2006 models where the days to service read 650, this is just wrong, it should read 365 days to the first service which would follow Saabs recommended schedule.
Good luck.
