I think the seats are partially real leather..

...but mostly naugahide (pleather, vinyl, leatherette...), thus the "leather appointed" moniker. I noticed that the panels in the seat cushion, backrest seem to be leather but the bolsters, headrests, backs sides etc. are the vinyl stuff. You notice the difference in elasticity.
It all looks nice in mine and I dont think that anyone would really notice the difference if they were not looking for it.
Not sure about the best way to take care of it, as it seems to be sealed.
