Not an Ipod in my case, but a Sirius stiletto radio which requires the same wire to run from the radio to the direct input inside the center console. My installer ran the wire from the jack through the small( and largely useless) coin holder insert in the center console and under the console forward to the point where I have the radio mounted, and it exits the center console kick panel on the top( near passenger's left knee). Radio is mounted there via a stick on base and there probably is a similar accessory for an ipod out there. If you have not been using the aux input already, there is an annoying design trait I have found that makes the radio default back to the radio mode after turning off the car. If you are listening to the ipod or sat radio ,each time you get back in you have to reset the CD/Aux input back to the Aux mode. If anyone else has found a work around on this,I would like to know how to do it.
