They showed us the invoices with the supplier discount, both retail and dealer cost. We decided to go new rather than buy a car that already had a winter on it.
Long story short, we went with a new 60th anniversary package in Ice Blue. Got $1000 off with that package discount, then $3000 discount promotion, then another $1000 off that I negotiated. We did get the GM supplier discount, however it's only about $500 bucks. They are giving us $8300 for her Honda Element, 2003 with 105k mi - best of any dealer we went too. On a side note, that Honda was absolutely great, not a single problem. Just not a Saab. :)
I didn't get the loyalty discount because I don't currently have a Saab - I drive an X type and a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Anyway, we pick up the new ride tonight...It's really a sweet looking ride...my wife is stoked.
Thanks for the advice, and it's good to be back!!!
