Saul,

I would think that since the signal to the front and rear speakers come from the same amp, AMP1 in this case, that you would find that the front speaker output would have the same problem the rears do.

Also, by putting the input of your amp on the AMP1 output you would be reducing the total impedance of your front speaker system and possibly causing a higher current draw that could damage your AMP1.

I have not done anything on these cars except repair them to factory specs. I am sure others have made mods and had success. You may want to continue to search the Internet. I would approach this endeavor with caution as the cost of the possible damage could be high.
