Yes, but it may not solve your complaint.... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: do they produce Saab's in right hand drive, beardie ![]() |
My impression is that you would be considering importing a English/Aussie spec car (it would probably have to be used) for an audio system that may sound better.
The questions that needs to be answered is why the audio system in your present car sounds better to you when you are seated in the passenger seat? Three immediate answers come to mind:
1) The instrument cowl in front of the driver blocks some of the sound. If this is the case, a RHD version would probably have the same problem in the right hand seat.
2) Your hearing abilities are not perfectly balanced from side to side. If this is the case, then the audio system in a RHD version may sound better to you when driving, just as the audio sounded better when you were a passenger.
3) By not drving, your mind had the freedom to enjoy the audio stimulation being delivered by your ears. The audio sounded just the same (to impartial instruments) as when your are in the driver's seat, but you were free to enjoy it more. A RHD car would not help in this case either.
RHD versions of any car model are rare in the US. A RHD version of a current model Saab would be a very rare beast!
