1 MoreTip for Homelink Autodim Compass Mirror Install Posted by Caarma [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Thanks to Nickshu, I finally installed my mirror and it seems to work fine. I did have remove the fuses he mentions to get the garage door opener to calibrate. But there's one small tip I should add because I couldn't find the plug. I was looking around in the empty space for a dangling plug, but it's actually pushed in to a slot in the white plastic piece towards the passenger side (as he mentions). Push up on it and it should pop out as it's the only plug that's not connected if you don't already have an autodim mirror hooked up. Once you plug your mirror into it, it can be place in the same slot.
I haven't driven the car with the new mirror, but I'm looking forward to not having to switch the garage door opener I have between the old car and the new car. Plus I can program it for my mom's house and my brother's too. I'm also looking forward to having a compass for when I travel, and also not having to flip the lever to go to dim mode.
I linked to Nickshu's post below.
Take it easy,
