Really? Or not used to European beam pattern?

Unless the '07 lights are different from '06, I find it hard to believe the illumination is inadequate. That said, it is true that a European beam pattern lacks the "hot spot" that the traditional US pattern puts about 100 ft down the road. Instead, the Europeans have a uniform spread with a "rising to the right" pattern that illuminates signs quite well while not dazzling oncoming traffic. As for adjustment, there's adjusters on the lamp housing. Mine came from the factory perfectly adjusted.
What I find best about the European pattern, which is true on my halogen beam 9-3 as well as my Xenon beam 9-5, is they brightly illuminate the left hand guard rail that you must snuggle up to when driving through construction zones. The traditional DOT pattern does not.
