The GM oil filter for our 2.0 litre engines (AC/Delco branded) has straight pleats which reduces its media capacity from the earlier "Z-pleated" style, and they cost nearly $8 seemingly regardless of where you get one (probably higher at some Dealers). The Purolator "Pure One" series is pushing $10 each!
Baldwin makes a filter for our engines which still has the "Z-pleats", at least in their catalog photo, and I can get these for just over $5 each if I buy a case on-line. I can probably talk my brother-in-law into splitting the case of 12 filters with me, but are these any good?
Thanks.
