I agree about the power. In fact when I was test driving prior to my purchase, the Linear felt quicker off the line. I recall reading that the turbo spools up a bit quicker on the smaller motor.
The most notable difference between the two is the suspension. The Aero suspension is much much tighter, almost to a painful and annoying degree id you have bad roads in your area. I currently am looking at trying to 'de-tune' the suspension on my '04 Aero. I believe Koni FSDs are the answer.
A good compromise between the Linear and the Aero is the Arc. Same body and seats as the Linear but it has the 210-hp motor from the Aero. And of course, it has the more normal, everyday suspension, not the sport suspension.
