Anti-pinch safety feature is causing the problem.... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Power Window Closing, Robert, Thu, 15 Nov 2007 08:46:04 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
It happens primarily with the driver's side window on my wife's 9-3SC. The immediate solution is just what thegens says below, hold down the window lock-out button while raising the window.
The anit-pinch sensors can be "reprogrammed" via a few step procedure of lowering, raising against resistance, lowering again, or something like that. Search here for "anti-pinch" and you should be able to find the step-by-step of how to do it.
The Dealership reprogrammed my wife's windows during the car's latest free oil change. I had forgotten about the problem but they discovered it when trying to raise the window after performing the scheduled service.
