I guess it's recommended at 60k although mine was in fine shape. The belt had no cracks and the tensioner pulley was still spinning nicely. Entire job took a little over 2 hours.
Some notes:
Spray a little penetrating oil on the plastic nuts holding the inner fender in- I lost one stud. Remove the airbox for access to the top.
I made a tensioner tool out of an old 3/8 ratchet, just ground till it fit. A 3/8 breaker bar might work, but you need something.
The tensioner only goes in one way- with the bolt in it. Takes a little maneuvering, but it came out so by god it has to go in.
Check the length on the replacement belt- needs to be 1028mm. I had to run to town to get the right one.
Very user friendly. I'm starting to enjoy working on this car now that the warranty is expired. Maybe some performance mods....
