Its the same fix for the useless cup holder...and that is...don't use it! :) (or otherwise just pretend its not there)
I'll have to admit I'm not sure I'm familiar with "the problem" but if you are referring to the center storage space cover that doubles as a sliding armrest, mine doesn't seem noticeably shakey when I use it as an armrest although I find its position isn't all that comfortable so I don't normally use it as an armrest. I suppose if I compulsively analyized it and plied it with my hands to check its stability I might find it wanting but since I bought the car and plan on keeping it for a long time, I'm less inclined to obsess over minor items like that. Now, if you're referring to the armrest on the door...mine is pretty stable other than the cheap fealing plastic "wrap" around the handle portion.
I think the days of super solid interiors are gone (which competitor is making the super solid interior in a $28,000 car?), so in the scheme of what's available these days, I'm pretty satisfied with my interior (so far after a year its held up fairly well).
As my former indy mechanic once told me when I was complaining about the obsurdity of electonic keys "If that is all you have to worry about then you're in pretty good shape".
