Drive one (or more) of the 9-3 and 9-5, then decide... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Follow up question from post below this one..., 9-3 Talladega, Mon, 17 Mar 2008 19:36:08 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
We own a 2000 9-5lpt Sedan and a 2006 9-3SC 2.0T. I like them both very much, exterior dimensions are amazingly similar, but the "feel" of each is strikingly different.
The 9-5 "feels" larger in the cabin eventhough the tape measure says they are effectively equal. The 9-5 has a smoother ride whereas the 9-3SC has crisper handling. Fuel efficiency is also nearly equal with both cars achieving in the low 30's on extended highway trips.
The 9-5 has over 220,000 miles, the 9-3 has just under 20,000 miles - obviously a source of some differences in "feel".
