Unusually low price locally.... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: That's two good reasons, Stephen Goldberger, Tue, 25 Mar 2008 17:26:15 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I checked my receipt and saw the one-litre bottle cost $6.25 after discount, and the 5-litre jug cost $29.95 after discount, for a total of $36.20 (before taxes).
Mobil-1 0W/30 is priced around $6.95 per quart locally. Multiply by 6.333, for the quantity needed to fill the sump, and my total Mobil-1 price would be $44.00
Likewise, ELF 5W/40 is priced lower than Mobil-1 5W/40 and both are lower than their 0W/30 brand counterparts. I use the 5W/40 in my high mileage 9-5.
But like the OP, I have seen much higher prices from the few internet stores that carry this brand of oil.
