Had that happen once at Continental, an Aero came in without paddle shifters. Correctly upgraded under warranty. Dunno if they'll still do this one.
And by paddles you mean the thumb paddles on the face of the wheels on top of the spokes at 3 and 9.
I for one find my shift brain is wired to my arms not my thumbs so I wind up using the slap shifter and not the paddles.
