Help! My NAV / Radio is now battery "hot" Posted by Saabpilot [Email] ![]() ![]() |
I took out my NAV / Radio unit to install a bluetooth kit from Parrott and a harness adapter from Quick Connect Products.
Everything works fine, except that my NAV / Radio unit (as well as parts of my SID) now seem to be battery hot...in other words they no longer go off with the key out of the car. I had the NAV / Radio unit sitting on my knee and I know I pushed some buttons with my knee accidentally...could it have be that I somehow set it into battery hot mode? The QuickConnect harness is more or less an inline "Y" and shouldn't be causing this.
In addition to this work, I put in two fuse taps...one for my radar detector, tapping off the fuse for the cigarette lighter and one for the battery switched lead of the Quick connect harness. I can't remember off hand which fuse I used, but it is definitely battery switched because the Parrott bluetooth unit does turn off after the ignition key is removed.
Anyone have any ideas???
