GB,
Agreed, you are in trouble. First, get that radiator fitting fixed quick. When my car was under warrenty I had a leaky fitting also. Saab uses good coolant to which I believe the manual states "you do not have to ever change." Obviously that is a strech, but my advice would be to go back to your Saab dealer or call Saab. If nothing else I believe they would help pay for the radiator fitting. I'm not sure if it is a "known" problem but I and some other people I know have had it. Secondly, try and get them to help you pay for the gearbox. The fact that your car has only 62K is a good thing. I have spoken with Saab reps myself and there is in fact negotation room IF you car is less than 24k out of warrenty (which I assume to be 50K factory) and if it is within 2 years of it expiering (sorry for spelling again). If you can prove the leaky fitting is a known problem and that caused your gearbox to mess up then you may have a case. Take what you can get, I'm assuming that is not a cheap problem to fix. Good luck.
