There is an acc (ipod) adapter accessory available. Look at GenuineSaab.com. The trouble is you have to pull the stereo to hook it up and snake the cable through the console. Then the dealer has to "enable" it with Tech II.
I installed a "premium sound" upgrade in my 9-3 which included four tweeters, two rear deck 6X9 woofers, a rear amplifier and wiring harness. The installation was not too bad, but the wiring harness was not quite right with regard to the fiber optic connections. Basically there is a fiber loop that connects all of the factory sound system components together in a loop. There are no RCA connectors or line level inputs or outputs to be had. The fiber cable connects all of the components in a loop configuration and if the loop is not maintained none of them function. After I installed the components and got basic functions by connecting the fiber loop, I then had to take it to the dealer to have them enable the "premium sound" system in Tech II.
Overall it was a fairly expensive way to go for the benefits.
The only other thing you could do is splice into the speaker wires at the amp under the driver seat and install an accessory amp/subwoofer. I have no idea how you could install an aftermarket CD player or other input device other than through the above adapter.
