My Turbo-X armrest not stapled, aren't all plastic?

(1) You got me to go out to the garage & look. My Turbo-X armrest has a "cover" underneath, held in with 6 Torx screws. Maybe the one you drove was damaged at the dealer or rushed to make a deadline.
(2) Also, I see these "plastic" comments and don't really get it. Are you looking for a wood grain dash (many are simulated plastic) or a machined aluminum dash a'la a 1932 Bentley? As far as I can recall, most of my cars have had a lot of plastic on the interior, whether it was Bakelite (1960 Mercedes) vinyl (1961 Austin Healey) or Saab C900 (1981, 1987, 1988, 1990). Same with an Acura (with the simulated wood grain which is really plastic).
The Turbo-X added the Carbon fiber look trim, so maybe there is less metal-finish plastic, like most "chrome" appointments in cars?
