Hey Everyone,
I had my oil (full syn of course) changed in July. I have put only 5500 miles on the oil since then. I will be taking a trip in mid December back home and the distance is roughly 1500 miles. I estimate my current oil will be 5 months old and have 6000 miles on it when I make the trip. Normaly I change oil every 10k, but I'm not sure if I should think about changing it early since the drive I will take is so long. Also, the engine has over 100k on it so I'm not sure if that matters. (never uses oil).

Also, I was wondering if living in an area where the temperatures get below 0 frequently is harder on oil than places with a more average climate. Thanks
