Build quality of newer 9-3SC vs. OG9-3 Hatch

Now that everyone's had a couple years to digest the 9-3SS/SC I'm interested in people's opinions about build quality in the newer models relative to the old 5-Door (I drive an '02 currently). I've found that by 75k my 9-3 has developed some "quirks"- the ACC is flaky, a fair number of rattles, some loose trim, and the usual SID pixel loss. None of those are deal breakers and can certainly be fixed, but they've increased my level of annoyance with the car. Hope to be in a 9-3SC sometime in the next few years, but if I'm going to find it even more annoying than the OG9-3 I might well look at other options. Thanks!
