It worked for the first two weeks. It works in my car. It doesn't matter if another 9-3 Aero exhibits the same problem. Do all cars on the lot exhibit this problem? If so... then the dealer has something (weak FM signal in your area I guess).
If not then tell them they broke it when they fixed the XM. If they balk I think you should contact someone at Saab USA - maybe there is an 800 number with the warrantee card.
I had some similar trouble with my wife's VW. The rear seat cupholder was broken when we got it. The dealer agreed with that but found that the cupholder was held in place by small $1 brackets. The dealer couldn't get the brackets because there was no part number.
We ended up having to go through VW USA to get them to deal with it.
