That's so strange...I deliberately logged onto this site to look for this particular issue. This happened on my vehicle (2007 9-3 conv't) just this past Friday when the temperature in Toronto dropped to -17C. I must say I was quite freaked out when the messages popped up, especially the one indicating that a brake failure had been detected and that I should test the brakes to ensure they were still functioning.
Even though testing the brakes I found that they were still working, I still took the next exit a headed to the nearest Saab dealership. The service department claimed that the issue may have been caused by a faulty or corroded sensor. They told me that they checked all the connecters and the wheel sensors and found no problems with the vehicle. No further work was performed on the vehicle.
Hopefully, other people who encountered this problem will comment on your post. I believe this problem is serious enough that if there are enough postings, Saab may have to do a recall to replace a potentially defaulted sensor.
