Common problem on Saabs. I am not a mechanic but I have became an expert on changing light bulbs. I have an 03 and I'm pretty sure my model is victim to a grounding issue so I change bulbs once to twice per year. The manual has a great diagram on how to change the bulb. Assuming you do not have HID's, go to any auto parts store and grab some H7 bulbs. The process takes roughly 5 minuites. Remember, do not allow your hand to come in contact with the glass part of the bulb on your new light because that will decrease the life span of it. It is your call if you want to replace in pairs but from my expierance when one bulb goes the other is usually not far behind. This is definetly a "do it yourself" job. Good luck.
Btw, make sure you change the low beam. There are two different bulbs, hi and lo.
