Adam,
I'm afraid you are terribly wrong. GM hurt Saab much more than it helped. In all the years GM has owned Saab, it only saw profit 1 year! It has never marketed the brand well, it continued to downgrade on the materials used within the car (especially the interior!) and while doing so destroyed the image of the vehicle. Where did the magnificent cockpit feel go to the Saab in the new models?! The new models are heinous in comparison to the pre-2007 models, after that it all went completely downhill.
Saab now has that cheesy Lear interior that GM loves to use - rubbish plastics, round knobs everywhere (i.e. no more cockpit feel), etc. Not to mention the feel and handling of the vehicles are horrible, they drive like GMs now, not like a "sports" car that was Saab. I have friends and family to this day tell me wow, we love your Saab, its nothing like the new ones...I take pride in my Saab that was manufactured with style, quality, and a real "brand" image...not this GM image, just gross...
