The mass of a car outa' control is relatively big and heavy, so there's relatively a lotta' time to correct things. Yaw control with the brakes is amazing stuff, snaps a car right 'round and is a control feature that driver's don't have, unless you equipped your Saab with cutter brakes. The ESP also intervenes much faster and in the right direction every time. Most driver inputs are fairly random and therefore 50% or more of the time wrong.
So there might be a traction/wheelspeed situation that might fool the ESP for a moment, but there are many long moments, both inertia and time wise to get it right.
