The power door lock on the rear passenger side of my 2004 9-3 is acting up.
Some days it won't lock or unlock when I lock the doors with the security key fob (or with the door lock button inside the car).
All the other doors and the trunk lock and unlock as they should. But the rear passenger door lock just makes a clicking sound and won't move. (I can lock and unlock it by hand.)
After a few hours, it "magically" starts working again, and it works fine for a week or so, then stops working again, etc.
I have an similar problem with the trunk lock. Sometimes when I use the security key fob to open the trunk while the door are still locked, the alarm will go off.
I could never replicate these problems for the dealer, so couldn't get it fixed under warranty, which has now expired.
Is this something I can attempt to fix myself, and if so, how?
