Seems low for your trade, search for vehicles on-line Posted by Caarma [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: 08 / 09 Warranties - different?, Kate, Mon, 30 Mar 2009 07:39:01 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi Kate,
I bought a 2008 for the GM employee discount, extra warranty coverage and the better rebates that did not apply on '09's. It's good to hear today that the U.S. government is going to back the warranties in case anything drastic happens to GM.
As for your current car, I think the dealer is lowballing your trade-in value. Is it the new 9-3 sedan or an old generation convertible? (I'm confused based on your use of the "SE" designation.) Check kbb.com and the NADA.com websites for trade-in values. I would think your car should be worth closer to $6,000 or $6,500, especially with the low miles.
If you want a 2008 9-3 2.0 T SportCombi, there's one in the Chicago area that's fully loaded. I almost bought it, went for an Aero instead. The dealers are really dealing because they want to get rid of the 2008's. Go to saabusa.com, build a vehicle and at the end you can do an inventory search in regions you might be willing to travel to.
Good luck,
Atul
