Searched the board for while, but couldn't find an exact match to my question. Feel free to direct me if I missed it.
'05 9-3 Arc - 93K: A couple of weeks ago, I heard a rattle from under the car when I closed my drivers door. So I reached under the car and found, what appears to be, the heat shield over the exhaust to be loose. It looks like there are multiple pieces, but this was the piece about even with the rear of the front doors. I was able to tap the piece and cause a repeat of the rattle. That rattle occuring when I close the door seems to have gone away, however, now I have a metallic sounding rattle coming from the center console while at highway speeds. I have searched every storage area and crevice from the dash to the back seat and the sound seems to be coming from somewhere under the shifter (auto). Has anyone else had this 'heat shield' come loose? I don't have a way to lift the car to be able to see under it, so I'm going by feel for what's loose.
Thanks for any help!
