Ordered rear brake pads for the wife's 9-3SC Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sun, 17 May 2009 08:42:25 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I followed Anders' advise and ordered the Akebono Euro Ceramic pads (#EUR973). Rock Auto seemd to have the best price for these, eEuro doesn't even offer rear pads! My wife commented on the amount of rear wheel brake dust on her car while we were washing it this morning, and since the mileage is approaching 30K, I thought it would be prudent to have these pads on hand for eventual future replacement.
Now for my question. Do the front pads wear as quickly as the rears? The Dealership has been doing all the tire rotations as part of the Free 36,000 Mile Service so I haven't had a look see yet. All the rear dust, and prior experience with rear pads being physically smaller and thinner, make me believe the fronts will outlast the factory rear pads on this car, but I am checking for the experience of others.
Thanks!
