Here is my troble : Two month ago got the Sid message Collant low. Check under hood - no visible trases of collant anywhare, wiped collant expention reservuar was some trases of evaporated dex cool there and some drops od cullant in pressure releave tube. Top off about 16oz (Glass) of distilled water. Car is 93 2.0t combi manual 60k so just out of warranty, read threads here on pores in short block got scared to death do not whant to think about engene replasement my warranty is out already.
Sence then once in few days checking lewel it was slowely declining. two days ago SID Coolant low, agene look every hose clamp, radiator - no traces except some ewaporaton in releave valve tube. Add another 17oz distilled water, wiped out condensation on the cooling tank cap and releave tube found that coolant maded thru the releave valve just to got other seal ring wet on that yelow cap.
Any ideas what it could be? How many folks here have this problem? Is this is common on 2.0T Could it just be Collant expenthion tank cup problem with releave valve or this 2 ruber rings on it. Cup was srewed in very tight at all the time - I checked.
Cheked My VIN with TCB about microcracks on the short block. My VIN is the way up in later VIN teretory.
