The Combi is a 2007 with 26,000 miles. The tail light was out when I purchased it, but with the discount I thought I could do the repair and if not, still under factory warranty.. I actually found a tail light at a junk yard for $125..Was assured that it was perfect....It's just strange that I have the same exact problems with 2 different tail lights...

The brake lights and tail lights share the same LED's-one being high and the other low power or brightness..on the connector pin, they are 1-brake light, 6-tail light, 3 common..there is 12v present at # 1 and 6 on both sides of the car-(The driver side is okay). I can apply 12v from a source (after disconnecting the connector from the light)outside the car and illuminate both on that side. When I apply 12v to the pins # 1 and #6 on the passenger side only the brake or high side illuminates....the tail light will not..I have even checked the circuit board closely for cracks or defects and can find none..

The SID does not show a burned out light as it does with other bulbs..
