Just became a Saab owner once again. Bought an 04 9-3 Aero, relatively low mileage taking care of some relatively minor maintenance issues but something very strange happened today. The electrical system lights, SID, Radio has worked fine for the past week. But today as i was driving i attempted to change the radio station and immediatly after pressing the preset radio button the radio display, radio, and SID all went dead. The climate control and main dashboard where intact but the amount of illumination was flickering. I restarted the car about 5 hours later both sid and radio still not working and the interior lights flicker when i brake or use turn signals. I then hit the night panel button and everything is restored including the radio. I know that the sound component of the radio has no relation to the night panel button and had previously tried the button to no avail. Stumped any ideas, has this happened to anyone.
