2004 Saab 93 Convertible Front End Noise

When I turn my wheel full turn while stopped I will hear a noise in the front left side that sounds like my front end is loose (tie rods, front end in general), yet I am cinfidant that it is not loose any where (well taken care of with 50K). I would swear it is a power steering hydraulic fluid noise or something since it is in the front end and only when turning the wheel. It actually will stop making the noise when it has warmed up good (especially in summer time don't ever really notice the noise but once in awhile when cold, but when it is doing it it sounds like the front end in coming out from underneath it.......really weird. Like I say, you can make it do it at about 3/4 turn and then you will hear it when you turn back. The fluid level looks alright (have checked several times at varying temps). Since it is brutal cold winter time the noise is there most of the time since the car is not normally driven far. Like I say, we take on a trip and when it warms up it doesn't make the noise.
Any body have any idea's of what this might be??
If I am correct in my thinking it is in the power steering unit, but who knows with how noises's can travel in a front end.
Sure would appreciate some suggestions!
Thanks, Rex
