The Euro Spec system will not alarm if all four of the tire pressure sensors are absent, but will alarm if one to three sensors are not communicating, and also alarm if any sensors are below spec when all four are present and communicating.
Here is the US we get a system that alarms if all four are absent because apparently the Feds don't think anyone installs snow tires here. Or that those of us who do install snow tires on separate rims will enjoy buying 4 additional sensors too!
So maybe the Dealer switched the car to the Euro spec.
