Dealer is stumped: Incessant suspension creak

2006 9-3 Aero SportCombi, 45,000 miles, San Francisco, CA (no exposure to snow or salt).
Several months ago, I started to hear a slight creak from the front suspension sometimes while driving. It got progressively worse to the degree that now it happens almost all the time. Dealer says everything looks fine.
The noise happens:
• when warm or cold
• when wet or dry
• first thing at the morning (cold) and last thing at night (after a long drive)
• going over bumps, when turning, when straight, when coming to rest
In other words... there is no pattern to when the noise happens. It happens ALL THE TIME. It sounds sort of like a spring that has gotten old and squeaky. It also only sounds like it's coming from the front passenger side. Or could it be a shock? Control arm?
Let me know what specific things I could ask the dealer to check. Thanks y'all.
