You will probably have to do the windshield now Posted by MI-Roger [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: end-of-lease questions, Jonathan Rubin, Mon, 11 Jul 2011 19:38:50 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Regardless of the amount of the damage surcharge for a cracked windshield at lease turn-in, the fact the crack is expanding means you will be in violation of your local motor vehicle codes before the end of this week.
As for the spoiler; you can pay now and be without the car for a week while it is being repaired, or pay at turn-in and not have the inconvenience of being one car short. Unless the damage surcharge is really excessive it would seem to be better to wait the four months for this one.
If your Dealer has some killer deals on year end models it may make sense to participate in an Early Lease Turn-In program. By November all the 2011 models will likely be gone and no deals will yet be offered on the 2012 models.
