I had a similar issue in my 03 9-3 where i accidentally crossed the wires when jumping the car. what this did was fried the analog cable for the on-star, which was still in place because i never used it. all they had to do was install the bypass for the onstar system and my radio and turn signals came back. very inexpensive fix and you don't have to replace the hud.
