It depends on your philosophy really. Some people buy cars and sell at warranty end and others like me buy new and drive until they stop. Your kbb is going to be around 20k TOPS and probably around 17 honestly in this economy. If you bought new, you paid around 45 I imagine so you are losing 5k per year in equity. But, auto depreciation is not linear as I'm sure you know so every year you are losing a little less in value. I imagine your car selling for 2k less next year and the trade in price is really not good to be frank. As Tom mentioned, I think the possible collapse of Saab has been priced in so even if they do go belly up I doubt the value will change that dramatically. Are you planning on buying another Saab cause if you are you can trade your car for a new one and if Saab is still around you will get a better trade and if Saab goes under you get a great discount on a new one so you are hedged in that respect. If you want to move away from Saab i'd still keep it cause while it is under warranty your depreciation costs are far less than any risk of selling then taking it on the chin for driving a new car off the lot. Depending on your financial condition, the cheaper alternative I think is keeping it.

But, I can speak to there great reliability. My 03 is popping 176k and all I've had to do is waterpump, radiator, and gas tank sensor. All and all, about 1,600 dollars. Also, remember, if Saab goes under your long term anniv edition will have a bit of rarity in time.
