Modern weatherstripping used for the door, window, trunk, and convertible top seals is typically rubber or synthetic rubber. It is best use some towels or rags and clean the weatherstripping with soap and water prior to applying any treatment. After cleaning the weatherstripping, some people just use their favorite vinyl & rubber cleaner/conditioner to treat the weatherstripping.
I prefer to use a silicone grease or Sil-Glyde Lubricating Compound (polypropylene glycol grease) on all the weatherstripping around the doors and trunk. Both will keep the weatherstripping from sticking to the door jamb and tearing, especially in freezing weather. They will also protect against deterioration from ozone. Apply the grease directly to a clean lint free rag and then wipe a thin layer onto all the weatherstripping. When finished, take a fresh lint free rag and lightly wipe the weatherstripping to remove any excess. Silicone grease is readily available at auto parts stores either as silicone grease or as "dielectric grease". Sil-Glyde Lubricating Compound is available at many NAPA and other auto parts stores.
Another option is to use a product like Wurth “Rubber Care Gel Stick” or 1Z einszett "Gummi Pflege". Both come in a sponge-tipped bottle like liquid shoe shine, so it does not drip or splatter.
