Yes and no.
It could very well be something going on with the car but an AAA driver would certainly not no anything about that.
Your car has to "go to sleep" and that takes a few minutes AFTER you have locked the car or closed the door or ANYTHING that would make the car "wake up".
So several minutes has to gone by before testing for draw and battery cables cannot be removed from battery when testing since that would wake up the car again.
The problem we are having with AAA battery service is that when the driver comes out the first time and he see that it is anything but a AAA battery in the car, out goes the battery and one of their own are installed.
When they come out the second time or third or fourth and they see it is one of their own batteries, they start to blame just about anything on Earth except the battery as being the problem even though their battery are of a very low quality and we replace many of them a few years or earlier after installation.
So at this point it is not possible to rule out either/or until you have had someone looked at the car that knows how to check for draw.
But usually when I see an AAA battery and it is dead, I install a new battery first of all and then do a test of the car for draw and alternator output, if nothing strange show up I let the customer take the car and most of the times it is nothing else wrong.
If?? the battery would go dead again, then I would have to keep the car for a longer time (several days) to be able to check for intermittent problems with alternator or any electrical devices that somehow don't go to sleep every time they should.
