Hard for me to say if its a DIY project or not as everyone has different mechanical abilities and tools available to them. Since you don't have the saddle fuel tank for XWD, its pretty straight forward. Try to get fuel level as low as possible to aid in reinstalling the fuel tank.
Raise vehicle up (or tall jack with safe jackstands) in the rear.
Remove rear exhaust system from vehicle.
Remove the filler pipe connections to the tank above the rear subframe assembly.
Carefully remove the EVAP and fuel line connections along with wiring harness at front RH side of tank.
Carefully lower tank after removing the two tank straps (13mm bolts).
Once you have the tank removed, there is a special tool to remove the metal pump lock to the tank. Have heard some use a prybar and hammer to remove the ring/pump from the tank.
Once you here, install is pretty much the reverse of removal. Be sure to index the pump onto the tank (has an index notch on tank which fits into pump housing) and tighten the metal lock ring completely.
May want to call your local dealer or Indy shop and price out what they may charge. With the proper tools and some experience, its only a 2-3hr job.
