Wrong board or not - your problem is one or more soft hoses, and it can affect any vehicle.
As the engine reaches full operating temperature, the partial pressure of water and glycol in the cooling system increases. Since the system is sort of sealed, the amount of air in the reservoir doesn't change, but the amount of water vapor and glycol vapor must to balance out the partial pressure of the coolant mixture. The result is higher pressure.
When the car is new, the minimal ballooning from the higher pressure does not cause the level to drop below the "check coolant" switch setting, and indeed may be less than the expansion of the coolant from the higher temperatures. That is apparently no longer the case in your car. While you could relieve the symptom by adding some more coolant, doing so would be asking for a breakdown from a burst hose. A better solution is to check and replace the hoses as needed.
