Viggen vs G8 . . . (or Ate by 8)

Heading home from work last night. About to turn onto favorite stretch of windy country roads when I noticed a nasty looking Pontiac G8 turning ahead of me. It was lowered a bit with very fat rubber and a serious exhaust note.
I pulled the Viggen up a few cars behind as we neared the first corner. He entered the turn hot and so naturally I did too. The G8 clung well in the turns, but I felt like I was pushing him a bit.
BUT... then came railroad tracks. He slowed way down to cross those (they're rough). Once past the tracks he hammered the G8. A blast of visible exhaust and a very loud bark and he was off>>>>>>>>!
Well, I dropped the Viggen to 3rd and floored it. I did my best to hang with him up to 100mph, but truthfully... he ate my lunch.
Gotta say, that G8 was very cool. It was fun hearing the V8 scream at high revs and bark at every shift. My trusty Viggen was playing in the wrong league, but it was a great way to wrap up the day.
