Not in the same manner as the old 9-3 and 9-5 but some of them have a nasty weak electrical signal problem that can be a bear to find and repair and some shops replace the throttle body several times in hopes that's the problem.
But it is more along the line of electric power not getting from point A to B due to slightly under dimensioned wires and weak crimp connections here and there or miniscule amount of corrosion or oxidation on the micro sized crimp connections that all cars utilize nowadays.
P-2135 (Throttle position sensor circuit, plausibility fault between circuit 1 and 2) is one of the many related codes that can pop up.
I have also seen a couple of cases where the mechanical portion of the electric motor/gearbox inside throttle body have sheared a tooth or too but that doesn't seems to be an epidemic problem but more a freak accident.
