How to reprogram with TEch 2 - 2008 Aero XWD MT6 Posted by magalar [Email] (#1325) [Profile/Gallery] (more from magalar) on Sat, 9 Mar 2013 08:56:08 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi everyone,
After 8 years with the faithful 2001 9-5 Wagon, it was time to replace it with a newer ride.
I just bought a 2008 Aero SC XWD with the manual transmission. 17 000 $CAN for a 88 000 km car, quite nice but not perfect. Still under warranty until 08/2013.
First observation : marvelous engine, torquey and sonorous. Thirsty too...
XWD/Haldex is OK, obviously not as reactive as my 1983 urQuattro. But the car is for Honey, she's very happy.
Interior trimm is bellow what was there in the 9-5. No carpeted console, cheaper plastics everywhere, doors don't have the vault-like sound when shut, cargo bay is less luxurious.
Otherwise, everything works, including the TPMS and the swiveling xenons.
But I'd like to program it like an Euro car, like my old 9-5. No DRLs, fogs with park lamps, no TPMS with the steelies next winter, etc.
Does anyone knows where I can find the procedure ? I have access to a Tech 2, but I'll have to do it myself. I have also the latest WIS and EPC installed. I read the WIS but did not find what I was looking for.
Thanks in advance,
magalar in sunny Montreal, QC
